Summary: Felicity goes to talk to Marcia in the wake of the rumors about her.
Disclaimer: Yeah, these people do not belong to me and this is not real. Sorry.

There was a soft knock on her trailer door. "Sorry, could you come back later? I don't really-"
Felicity pushed the unlocked door open and stepped in despite the request to the contrary. "Hey."
"I don't really feel like company right now," she said, smiling halfway-apologetically as she glanced up from the script she was reading.
"Of course you don't. No one wants company when they feel like shit, but those are the times when we need it the most. Shouldn't you know these things? You're the psychologist, not me."
She sighed, resigned to her fate. "So what can I do for you, Flicka?"
"Not a thing. I just thought I should check on you, seeing as how I'm your guardian angel and all."
"That's right- how could I forget?" she said, thinking back to a few weeks ago when Felicity had walked in on her having a near meltdown. Rather than just make a hasty exit, she had simply taken her in her arms and held her, rubbing her back and whispering reassurances until she stopped crying. You must be my guardian angel, she said jokingly. They had both laughed. And then they had kissed.
"Really, sweetie," Felicity continued. "I know that this has to be really fucking awful for you, one way or another, so I thought I should just let you know that I'm here if you ever need to talk or vent or cry or throw things at someone...whatever works for you."
She didn't return Felicity's weak smile. "Are you upset that I didn't tell you?"
"What? Oh. No, of course not."
"I just don't want you to think that I was trying to decieve you."
"I would never think that." Felicity reached out, placing a hand soothingly on her knee. "Honest. It's the nature of the beast, I know. We spend almost every waking moment together, and yet somehow we never get time to talk about the big stuff. Some conversations are hard to have in between takes on the set, or..."
Or after spending a half hour kissing on a ladies room floor. She finally made eye contact with her visitor, resting her own hand on top of the one that still rested on her bare knee. "Thank you for understanding."
"I do. You're not the only one here with secrets, Mar."
She laughed bitterly. "Yeah, but your secret isn't the lead story on the Today show because some friend of a friend of a friend throught it'd be a great promotional stunt. You're not the one people are talking about."
"So you like women. Big goddamn deal. It doesn't matter."
"It doesn't?" Her eyebrows shot up in amazement. "My personal life has sent America into some sort of deranged frenzy overnight, so apparently yes, it really matters."
"No," Felicity answered, brushing her lips across Marcia's forehead before she turned to leave. "What I mean is, it doesn't matter to me."
